About Dr. Reiss

Dr. Marci Reiss is a researcher and licensed clinical social worker who has extensive experience helping individuals manage the challenges of illness, pain, anxiety, depression, and trauma. She is a member of the faculty at University of Southern California. She currently serves patients of the Los Angeles area at the Los Angeles Wellness Institute in Century City .

Dr. Reiss has been a pioneer in putting mental and behavioral health into chronic disease centers. She teaches internationally about the importance of emotional and psychological well-being of health, disease, and pain. She has developed integrated and comprehensive models of care where mental health is offered in combination with medical care in various hospitals throughout the United States including at the Mayo Clinic, Vanderbilt University, University of California San Diego, University of Maryland Baltimore, University of Southern California, and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

Her passion is helping individuals reduce and eliminate the emotional components of pain ultimately leading to profound improvements in quality of life.
